Sherry died unexpectedly, surrounded by her family at Eastern Maine Medical Center. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Spanish from the University of Vermont in 1967. Her first home with her husband Tom was at Windrift Farm in New Vineyard, Maine. Sherry was an accomplished fiber artist, she knitted, hooked and braided rugs. she also had a long and successful career in real estate.
