| About Me | After graduation, I went to BGSU for its journalism program and promptly changed my major when I got there. After I graduated in '96 with a BA in literature (minors in art history and studio art) I moved to Silicon Valley to work for an internet startup called 'Yahoo!' as a "surfer" (at the time I was just happy someone would give me a job with a degree in Lit!) Being out there during the internet boom was exciting and surreal and I had some crazy experiences (including playing softball with Barry Bonds and buying a haunted “castle” in Cleveland). I also met my husband Huw (it's the Welsh spelling of Hugh -- he's a Brit) at Yahoo. After ten years in San Francisco we moved to Toronto for five years and finally we’ve settled in London. Our daughter, Zora Rachel (named after Rachel Allen, of course), was born in Canada in 2008, and our son Miles was born in London in 2012.
