Assigned to new Spruance Class Destroyer (USS Peterson) precommisioning crew (Feb 76 - Nov 77).
Needs of the Navy transfer to the USS Nimitz (Dec 77 - Jan 82) First Libyan Shootdown and support of Delta force Iranian Hostage rescue attempt.
Fleet Combat Training Center in VA as an Air Intercept Control instructor (Jan 82 - Jan 86).
USS John F Kennedy as Air Intercept Control Supervisor. (Jan 86 - Jan 92) Desert Storm and the second Libyan Shootdown.
Returned to Fleet Combat Training Center as Air Intercept Control coordinator for the Supervisor and Intermediate course. Responsible for scheduling aviation training assets, (over 900 flight hours yearly) and coordinating/scheduling joint forces area training missions for 29 fighter wings and squadrons at 10 East coast air stations in support of all East coast fleet units’ proficiency training. Also coordinated theater wide joint service interoperability training exercises using long range radio data link.
