Class of 1975
Coast Guard, 20+ Years
Two weeks after graduating from Cooper H.S., I commenced basic training at Almeda, California and remained in the U. S. Coast Guard until I retired July 1, 1995.
During my 20 years of service I served on 3 Coast Guard Cutters, 1 Construction Tender, 1 Loran Station on Island Kodiak, Ak and 3 tours in Galveston, Texas and 5 ears as a Coast Guard Recruiter.
During my career I received numerous medals and awards including 2 U.S. Coast Guard Acheivement Medals.
When I retired, I was a Chief Damage Controlman in charge of facility maintenance at Group Galveston.
