Funeral services for Dean Powell Patterson, 21, son of Mr and Mrs R D Patterson,willl be held at 2 pm Mon at the Wesley Methodist Church. The Rev Spurgeon Dunnam/Rev Howard Williams will conduct the services. Burial will be in Memory Park Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home. Dean died Fri afternoon in a local hospital after and illness of several months. He was a graduate of Longview High School, a former student at Stephen F Austin College, Nacogdoches, a member of Wesley Methodist Church and of Phi Delta Theta fraternity in Nacogdoches. Survived by his parents; sister, Mrs. Dewight Rogers, Commerce; and grandmother, Sadie Patterson, Dallas. Pallbearers: J H Dyess, Lynn Simmons, Frank Males, Frank McBride, Obie Walker, F M Fanning. Phi Delta fraternity members are honorary pallbearers. Memorials: American Cancer Society.
