Graveside services for James Franklin McAuley, 49, Frisco were 2 pm Friday at Rosewood Park Cemetery Longview TX with Dr. Laney Johnson officiating. A memorial service was held 2 pm Saturday at Red Oak Methodist Church in Red Oak with Dr Jon Taylor officiating. He died Tues in Dallas. Born Nov 20 1945, Longview, he married 2 Sharon McAuley Feb 2 1991, Red Oak. He was executive v-president of the McKinney Chamber of Commerce 1973-1974. He was the executive director of the East Texas Chamber of Commerce in Longview 1974-1986. Named Rising Star of Texas in 1982 by “Texas Business Monthly”. Director of Lancaster Economic Development Authority 1990-1993. From 1993 until the time of his death, he worked in commercial real estate. Preceded in death by father, John W McAuley Sr, Feb 1 1995. Survivors: wife, Sharon McAuley, Frisco; mom, Ruth Wylie McAuley, Longview; sons, Jeffery &Jay McAuley, Longview, Zachary& Colin McAuley, Austin, Barry Bourassa, Irving & Duff Bourassa, Frisco; brother, John McAuley Jr, Tyler. Jim also served in the Air Force as Chaplain's assistant...served in the Phillipines during Viet Nam War and in Columbus, Ohio.
