Dan was always outside, even as a child. If you went to school with him you know that he always had his hand on a fishing pole, bow or shotgun depending on the season. However, he graduated from Murray State University and then went on to be one of the top bass anglers in the nation! In 2003 Dan earned the title Angler of the Year with the FLW fishing circuit and voted One of the World't top 35 Anglers of all time by ESPN. In that year, he appeared on the Kellogg's Corn Flake box in all national Wal-Mart stores. Who knew that fishing could become a career?!
