Navy, 6 Years
Navy gunner aboard USS DeSoto County, LST 1171, stationed out of Little Creek, Va. Have traveled the countries of Europe, Scandanavia, (been 10 degrees above the Artic Circle) northern parts of Africa, back and forth across the equator, through the Panama Canal & all through the Carribean. Evacuated Gitmo Bay of service dependants when President JFK ordered so during the Cuban Missle Crisis.
