After graduation from LHS he went to Washington University in St. Louis and got his B.A. degree and attended graduate school at the University of Missouri in Columbia. He was drafted in the army and stationed in Germany where he ran the immunization clinic at the 7th Army Headquarters under General Mark Clark. After serving in the army he attended the University of Arizona where he obtained his Ph.D. in clinical psychology and practiced as a child psychologist for over thirty years, retiring in 1994. He then wrote and had his book published in 2006 called The Psychological Immune System : A New Look at Protection and Survival which is scheduled to be translated into Greek and published in Greece.
