Your gifts can give show choir students at Lincoln High a lift by purchasing much-needed platforms and risers for practice. Participating in show choir not only instills self-confidence, it also increases students’ communicative skills and ability to express their individuality. Show choir creates a sense of belonging while students learn to work together as a team and learn that every single person is important and vital to the group. Show choir is a process and it is such a joy to watch students take on leadership roles and encourage each other to perform and practice at a high level each day.
Purchasing the platforms will help increase recruitment. Approximately 80 or more students will use the platforms every year. The show choir competes in competitions and festivals throughout the year, so the platforms are needed for daily practice to prepare for these events. Using the platforms mimics the performance experience, giving students a chance to compete at a higher level. New LHS Vocal Scholarship Donations
I'm Jessica Rajewich, the new vocal music director at Lincoln High. I would really like to award an annual vocal music scholarship to a student with strong leadership abilities, has shown commitment to the vocal program, loves music, and is a good student. I was wondering if you knew of any alumni who would be interested in donating or if the alumni organization would consider making a donation. Perhaps we can see which graduating class can raise the most funds. I really want to award it to a student this coming May to start a new tradition at LHS.
