Larry Wayne Grimes
Class of 1971
Army, 20+ Years
Larry served for 23 1/2 years, 15 of which he was an officer. he started out as a crew chief, and later transitioned into the Huey, then flying and becoming an IE in the UH60 (Blackhawk) during 'Desert Storm'. After returning from the war he, his wife Ruth Anne, and daughter returned back to Lexington and lived there until his death in 1995.

Most of my time was in or in support of operations in S.E. Asia. I primarily worked with munitions. I also had a brief time supporting Minuteman radiography programs.
