About Me	I joined the Coast Guard right out of high school. I was trained as an electronics technician and became the communications technician for the US Coast Guard Cutter Escanaba. I met my wife while I was in the Coast Guard, though we were married after I got out. I started working at ESPN a little over 5 years ago. I had to take a rather low paying job to get into the company but thankfully I wasn’t in that position for too long. I’ve held several positions since then and I’m doing quite for myself. If any of you happen to watch the network ESPN U, I built it (you would need digital cable or satellite to have ESPN U). I’ve changed positions since then and now I work in the Transmission department as a maintenance engineer. I’m part of a team that builds and maintains the transmission gear for our satellite and fiber optic feeds. All the signals going into and leaving ESPN come through us. It’s a great job. I purchased a house a couple of years ago. I have two children, Jeffrey and Joshua. Jeffrey was my first and he is a little over 3 years old now. Joshua is my youngest and he is about one and a half. They are both a handful but they are great kids. My wife is currently in nursing school and she will be finished in May of 2008. We’re both looking forward to that. In the meantime I’m the main bread winner. We work around each others schedules so someone is always home watching the kids. Her parents/brother were Hurricane Katrina victims and they had to move in with us for some time. You can imagine how much fun that was.
