About	Gordon Douglas Richardson left this world July 12, 2016, two days after celebrating his 71st birthday. Surrounded by family and friends, he ended a long battle with COPD, lung cancer and pneumonia. Born in Long Beach, California on July 10, 1945, he grew up in Spokane, graduating from Lewis & Clark High School in 1963. After years of working at Playfair racetrack, he owned and trained several horses. Later he began his own business of Gordy's Rugs, installing carpets. He is survived by his two daughters, Michelle Talbott, with grandson Nicholas, and Kim Farncom; sister, Carol Boisjolie (husband Bob) and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank CHAS Clinic, Valley General Hospital, Cancer Care, and The Gardens on University for their efforts to provide excellent care and comfort. Final arrangements are handled by Community Cremation. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, July 30, at 1417 W. York, from 1 PM to 5 PM. Published by Spokesman-Review on Jul. 24, 2016.
