About	Linda Ann Harton Clark, age 65, died suddenly on March 23, 2009 in a highway accident near Seguin , Texas . Mrs. Clark, who lived in San Antonio , was a faculty member on the library staff at Texas Lutheran University , a position she held for nearly 18 years. She served both as Technical Services Librarian and as an academic advisor and classroom teacher in the Honors and Global Studies Programs. She was a longtime member of the American Library Association. Mrs. Clark was born in Spokane , Washington and was educated at Whitworth College and the University of Washington . In the 1960s she served with her husband in the Peace Corps in South Korea , after which she worked on the staff of the Harvard Law School , holding editorial positions with the Harvard Journal on Legislation and the Harvard Environmental Law Review. She also taught English in Korea during visiting faculty sojourns at Yonsei University in Seoul . During her 32 years in San Antonio , Mrs. Clark worked at First Presbyterian Church and Trinity University and taught in the Alamo Heights School District . She returned to school at the University of Texas at Austin , earning her Master of Library and Information Science Degree in 1991, the year she joined the TLU faculty. She had a fine analytical mind which she sharpened by reading mystery novels, and her ease with words enabled her to make short work of the daily New York Times crossword puzzle. Linda Clark had a strong interest in genealogical research and was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Among her personal qualities was a love of nature, manifested through gardening and a delight in growing things. Throughout her life she had a series of beloved pets. She was also a seasoned traveler, visiting many parts of the world by ship and air. She particularly enjoyed Christmas holiday surfing trips with the family in Costa Rica . Linda is survived by her husband Professor Donald Clark of Trinity University; daughter Jennifer Clark and her husband Benjamin Flowers of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter Joanna Clark and her husband Sean Gamble of Tacoma, Washington; her mother Agnes Harton, brother David Harton and wife Shannon, all of Spokane, as well as a wide circle of relatives including nieces and nephews in all parts of the country; colleagues at Texas Lutheran University; fellow members of University Presbyterian Church; and friends all over the world. Memorial services will be held at Texas Lutheran University in the chapel at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday March 26, and in San Antonio at Trinity University 's Parker Chapel on Saturday, March 28, at 11:30 a.m. Memorial gifts may be sent in her name to The Linda Clark Book Fund at Texas Lutheran University.
