HUNDHAUSEN, William H. Sr. “Bill” (Age 69) It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Bill on April 25, 2013.
Bill was born in Portland, Oregon on October 8, 1943 to Robert and Maxine Hundhausen.
Bill moved to Spokane as a youth and spent his formative years there before moving to Hayden Lake, Idaho in his late teens.
He attended Lewis and Clark High School, received a B.A.
in business from Eastern Washington and was a retired CPA with the City of Spokane.
At age 15 he met the love of his life, Parney Sylvia Poore, and the two married on Valentine’s Day in 1965.
Bill served his country in Vietnam and received an honorable discharge from the Navy in 1970.
He is predeceased by his parents and his daughter, Holly.
He is survived by his wife, Parney, of 48 years; three sons, William Jr., Seattle, Washington, Daniel R., Honolulu, Hawaii, and R. Jason (Rachael), Bozeman, Montana; four grandchildren, Maxwell, Thomas, Cody, and Miles; three siblings, Robert (Claudine), Thomas, and Phyllis Taylor (Greg); and numerous nieces and nephews.
His passions included everything mechanical and scientific; he was a licensed private pilot and enjoyed the unique sense of freedom that flying gave him.
He was a perpetual student and placed great value in hard work, education, unwavering integrity, and independent thought.
Above all he was a devoted, loving husband and father, a kind and compassionate neighbor, and wonderful friend to those who were fortunate enough to call him so.
Memorial services will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, April 28 at Heritage Funeral Hom
