About	Michael passed away February 6, 2018 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, WA. He was born April 20, 1943 in Long Beach, CA to Eugene and Eleanor Barr. Michael graduated from Lewis and Clark High School and then served in the Navy from 1960 to 1964. In 1964, he married Darlene Breeden. He served in the Washington State Patrol for 26 years and retired as a detective in 1992. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and member of The Knights of Columbus. He loved going fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed. Michael is survived by his wife of 54 years, Darlene Barr; daughter, Robyn (Tom) Hills; son, Jay (Allison) Barr; grandchildren, Alex Barr, Mackenzie Barr, Hayden Hills and Keeton Hills; sister, Kathy Bendixen; and brother, Kim Foley. He is preceded in death by his two brothers, Terry Barr and Kevin Foley; and sister, Diane Norris. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 Friday, February 16, 2017 at St. Thomas More Parish, 515 West St. Thomas More Way, Spokane, WA. Published by Spokesman-Review on Feb. 14, 2018.
