Susan was like a sister to me. She was creative, was in FHA and learned to demonstrate techniques. Her first job was as a telephone operator in Spokane and in Colorado. Extra income later was teaching and selling decorated cakes and, in elder life, demonstrating for Costco and was a substitute teacher in Fredericksburg, VA. She taught Spanish and English, lived off and on in the Dominican Republic. She had a program going in the DR teaching the women home crafts to sell clothing. She invested herself in others for life enrichment.
