About	Joyce Anderson, passed away on November 30, after courageously battling cancer. She was born in Spokane, WA on January 8, 1942. She began her teaching career in Spokane, after graduating from Eastern Washington University in 1966. She has been a dedicated and loving teacher for nearly 40 years, spending the last 20 years in the Kyrene School District in Phoenix, AZ. She enjoyed working with children with special needs. She was passionate about ensuring all children learned to read and helped children realize the importance of kindness and politeness. She was a dear wife and cherished mother and will be remembered for her love of children, traveling, gardening, reading, cats and shopping. Everyone will miss the way she enriched the lives of those around her with her laughter, good humor and playful outlook on life. Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Alfred Anderson, three daughters, Gina Hastings (Lancaster, CA), Kendelyn Meyer (Tacoma, WA) and Kristine Anderson (Phoenix, AZ)and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, December 5th at Mountain View Lutheran Church, 11002 S. 48th St. in Ahwatukee. For info call 480-893-2579.
