I was born and raised in Spokane.
I graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1956. I went to Whitman, Whitworth, and graduated from Washington State University in 1961. Majoring in Civil Engineering I went on to work for the Highway Department.
After 3 years I went on to become a partner with my brother in several construction companies. After 40 yrs of paving related work, I retired and became a consultant for Granite Construction Northwest.
