Gayle and I were in chorus together my junior year. She was the first girl I ever kissed (on a bus trip to Lake Charles to see South Pacific). Gayle got married at 18, about 2 months after we graduated, the first of 3 marriages. She passed away at 59, way too young. She is buried at the Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado, beside her third husband.
