Douglas, was born July 6, 1963 in Ogden, Utah to Ron and Charlene Petersen. He was the fifth of seven kids .
He graduated from Layton High in 1981.
Doug served an LDS mission to Milwaukee Wisconsin.
He married Brenda Kay Brooks in the Salt Lake LDS temple September 5, 1985.
He passed away April 27, 2012 due to stage four metastatic colon cancer.
He was survived by his wife, Brenda, his sons, Jared and Craig.
He was also survived by his siblings, David (Raylene),DeAnn(Dave Hoggan),Scott(Marilyn),Mark(Becky),Renee(Steve Barker) and Rusty.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, and his sweet daughter, Kiersten.
