Colonel Lester Marlon Romine
Class of 1946
Air Force, 20+ Years
Lester grew up on a local cotton farm, known by his nickname of "Fuzzy" went on to a few years at Auburn then into the Air Force where he served for over 20 years. First as a highly decorated Fighter Pilot who flew many missions to Korea and Vietnam and then onto the Pentagon for the last half of his military career. Recently he wrote his autobiography detailing life in Rogersville and his climb to the skies in the air Force. He resides in Northern Virginia.

Served 11 years in Army Reserves as an Engineer Officer. Deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2004.

Our Lauderdale County High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Lauderdale County High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated. All of us in Rogersville are proud of our military alumni and want to thank them for risking their lives to protect our country!
