Entered the Navy in 1996 as a Seaman Recruit, attended Hospital Corps A School in San Diego and graduated in the fall of 1966 and was transferred to Naval Hospital Bremerton, Washington. Transferred in 1967 to the Naval Support Activity Hospital, Danang, RVN as the senior corpsman for the surgical ward and later as Petty Officer in Charge of Medical Evacuations. Completed subsequent tours in San Diego, Honolulu, Guam and was commission an Ensign, Medical Service Corps in 1972. Served in various positions including Medical Administrative Officer, USS KITTY HAWK (CV63) and Officer in Charge of Medical Services at the SeaBee Center, Gulfport, MS. Graduated from George Washington University in 1978 with BS and Drake University 1979 with MBA.

Our Lathrop High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Lathrop High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated. All of us in Fairbanks are proud of our military alumni and want to thank them for risking their lives to protect our country!
