George Leap
Class of 1969
I enlisted in the Army even though my draft number was 256. I wanted to be a pilot and was accepted to the Army flight school. In basic training, I decided I wasn't going to be in the army that long. Became a crew chief on Cobra helicopters with one year in Vietnam. Spent two years, one month and 28 days in the Army. I never got an article 15 and was a sergeant (E5) when I got out.
