| About Me | Oh my gosh! I have had this face page for 4 years and haven't even used it. So I thought it was time for me to put some information in here and some pictures etc... So what have I been up to in the last 30 years or so? In a nut shell, I graduated from college and started hanging out in jazz clubs in the DC area and soon I was sitting in with the bands and then getting my own gigs and hiring my own musicians. About 10 yrs later I became a nurse while still gigging in Charlottesville VA. I had my own radio show for a while on WTJU on which I played jazz mostly but I also was one of several rotating DJs who did a show called, "The Eclectic Woman" I got married and had my 2 babies during this time period - Emma: age 16 now and Ivy: age 11, I later divorced. Both girls live full time with me. I went to grad school at UVA and became a nurse practitioner. I have worked mostly with the medically under-served, Spanish speaking and migrant patients. I'm presently in a very happy relationship with my beau. I think it would be fun to catch up with high school and college friends as well as keep in touch ...(read more) |
