Alan Pietruszewski
Class of 1980
Navy, 20+ Years
Flew F-14 Tomcats off aircraft carriers for the US Navy, served as a flight instructor, flew air show demonstrations, attended the Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN), attended the Naval Postgraduate School and earned a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Flew F-14 Tomcats off aircraft carriers for the US Navy, served as a flight instructor, flew air show demonstrations, attended the Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN), attended the Naval Postgraduate School and earned a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Flew F-14 Tomcat's for 10 years including tours as a flight instructor and attending TOPGUN (Navy Fighter Weapons School) as a student. Earned a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Navy Post Graduate School in Monterey, California and then served as Program Manager for various defense aviation related systems including GPS and Data Link Communications. Served aboard USS America during Operation Restore Hope in Somalia, USS Ranger during Operation Desert Storm/Southern Watch. Over 1500 F-14 flight hours and 400 aircraft carrier landings (yes we count them). Recently retired in Los Angeles and consulting part time in Engineering and Technical Program Management for Solute Consulting while pursuing acting for film and television.

Joined the Us Navy to "dodge" the draft upon graduation. Retired as a Chief Machinist's Mate in 1990.

20 years active duty stationed at numerous shipboard duty stations in engineering billets. Retired as a Chief Machinist's Mate subsequent to my final assignment as part of the active duty staff at the Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Readiness Center, St. Louis, MO.
Presently "serving" as a Contract Specialist for the Navy, first at Military Sealift Command in Washington, DC, now at NAVAIR Weapons Division in Pt. Mugu, CA. Next stop, in about 18-24 months, working for the DOD, somewhere in Europe or elsewhere overseas.
Being a Navy civilian is way better than being a Navy Sailor.

Corporal Ryan Czekalski

Ryan joid the Marine Corps shortly after graduating in 2005.
He is an 0621, better known as a field radio operator.
He has been stationed in North Carolina since completeing his schooling in California in the Fall of 06.
He has served twice in support of Opperation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. for a total of 16 months.
During that time he married his wife, Elizabeth, and became the proud father of a beautiful baby girl MaKayla Rylee.
He is currently in his fourth year of service and will be getting out of the Corps in September.
His plans are to return to Buffalo or Rochester and persue a career as a police officer.
Quite the change from the kid we all knew in High School !
