| About | Coach Creel, in his first year as head coach of Lakeside H/S lead it to its first state football championship in 1971. I was scared to death of Coach Creel, later I found him to be great man and one good coach. |

Coach Creel also lead us to Lakeside Highs 2nd and Final state championship in 1973 along with a strong cadre of Asst coaches in Park Turner (defensive backs Coach) / Robert Redford ( defensive line and linebacker coach) /Jerry McDaniel ( offensive line Coach) / Waymon Creel ( offensive backfield and Head Coach). It was an honor to be coached by all these fine gentleman / coaches / teachers! Gary Martens
