Russell Todd Zink

Russell Todd Zink

Class of 1987

Russell (Todd) Zink (Class 1987) has been recalled to active military duty away from the District Attorney's Office in Los Angeles County where he serves as a Deputy District Attorney. He is leading a Marine Corps infantry battalion in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He is a Lieutenant Colonel and is the Battalion Commander of 1st Battalion, 23rd Marines also known as "The Lone Star Battalion." Todd has served with the Marines for nearly 20 years and has been deployed to Somalia in support of Operation Restore Hope and Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom I (the march up to Baghdad). While he is not with the Marines he serves as a Deputy District Attorney trial attorney prosecuting criminals who have committed serious and violent felonies. He is married to Christon Esme Brooks and has two sons, Hunter (6) and Connor (4).
