| About Me | After college, moved to San Francisco for graduate school, back east to Atlanta to work for UPI covering politics and other news, back to Bay Area to work for San Jose Mercury and SF Chronicle, then to Honolulu for a fellowship program but stayed 18 years, jobs with magazines and Hawaii Visitors Bureau, freelance writing that actually paid mortgages. Built a cottage in the San Juan Islands near Seattle and ran a bakery/espresso cafe.
