Yesterday, June 28, fellow Bluebird, Beverly Wilson Melton, and I checked out the area for our lunchtime get together. We chose gathering for lunch in the Covington Mill Restaurant inside the Hilton Hotel (see link to website).

We had lunch there and found the food and service to our liking.
We chose the Hilton Hotel for several reasons: 1.) Access to the hotel is easy from major Florida arteries, (see map on website). 2.) The Hilton is within sight of and a short walk to the Disney Springs eating, shopping, activity area. If you have visited the Disney area in the past, you may recall this area as “Downtown”. Downtown became Disney Springs (see link to website)

3.) Since some of us may decide to stay overnight, the room rates at the Hilton are reasonable for the greater Disney resort area, since July/August is “off season” for Florida. I suggest you book your room online. The Hilton website shows a room with 2 queen beds starting at $114 per night, but do shop around for the best rate for yourself. Be aware that in addition to the room rate all hotels assess a resort fee per night ($35 at Hilton) plus tax. Self-park at the hotel is $22 per day.
If you plan to just come for lunch and hang out a while and not stay over, the restaurant will validate your parking ticket, making parking free.
Attached is the menu for the Covington Mill Restaurant. We can order separately from the menu and receive separate checks. I will have to provide a count to the hotel for lunch so …
