Lance Sweezer - Class of 2004 - Kentwood High School
First Name Lance
Last Name Sweezer
Graduation Year Class of 2004
Gender Male
Current Location Kent, Washington
Hometown Seattle, Washington
Relationship Status It's complicated
About Me Extended About Me: Lance's attributes... Science Wins. Height: 5'10" Weight: ~165 pounds Born: April 7th, 1986 Race/ Ethnicity: Black/ African-American Maturity has nothing to do with age or time.. it is a state of mind. . Energy is neither created nor destroyed.. only transferred and transformed. Time is only a concept.. and I can create my own time. My life is based on my though-process.... the way I think....... The two most important days: The day I was born, and the day I found out why.... I am/was born to be important to someone. :-) "I can't change the truth.. but I can hide from it, and/or be it." - Me "Even though my existence is futile (ineffective).. I still matter." - Me "Rumors are carried by haters.. spread by fools.. and accepted by idiots." - Anonymous I find myself, through my Soul.. I create myself, through my Sweetheart Woman. True Love (... This is real talk... Check it out... world!) It only happens once in a lifetime but is the most wondrous thing to ever happen. When your eyes first meet you know deep within your heart that they are the perfect match for you. It is a mutual feeling. Although there may be bumps along the way, true love always wins in the end. True love is also respecting your mate....not putting sexual pressure on them. It is the type of love that still lasts even if your mate loses their legs or suffers terrible burns. It lives on no matter what. True love also is fidelity, honesty, honor and respect. It is where the male follows a code of chivalry, meaning a respect for women, and the woman honors her husband. Apart they are two but together they are one. True love is not based on looks and there is no feeling of lust. If someone has true love they will wait until the bonds of marriage to have sex. They are unselfish and care more about their partner then for themselves. My true heroes are my parents and my grandparents. =) One odd/bizarre/weird fact about me: I enjoy chewing on wooden toothpicks (there are plastic kinds.. so I am being politically correct). Animal that I resemble the most: a cheetah... Video-game character that I resemble the most: Raiden, from Mortal Kombat. My [favorite] car: The Mitsubishi Lancer.. aka The Blackmobile (allude to the Batmobile) My favorite invention: The microwave My [main] nickname: Stryker, aka Lance-Stryker, and The Stryker My [other] nicknames: Blackman (allude to Batman) Basis of my nickname Stryker: I thought of it from lightning, as in a lightning strike.. or, lightning "stryke". Also, I must say that my nickname has nothing to do with [Kurtis] Stryker from Mortal Kombat, that is merely a coincidence. Primary Duties: Helping/fulfilling the needs of others, circa 1986... as well as maintaining and attaining knowledge... .. I have that Diplomatic/Leadership mentality.... I'm a natural leader, a helper, and a problem-solver. My whole personality is very extensive.. I think it's quite accurate for me to say that I'm very much like a male version of Maya Angelou. I admire: - people who are compassionate and warm-hearted towards others - people who are real and aren't afraid to be themselves - people who live up to strong family values - people who are generous and love to help others - people who've overcame struggles - people who are chill and humble I have a very high/fast metabolism rate. My hair is naturally very curly/wavy. I'm very creative, which is why I love many kinds of art. I have a strong passion for music. I enjoy playing most sports. I'm spontaneous and random at times (it's a compulsive habit). ..... some of my favorite words to say are "Whew!" and "Hollaaaa!"........ .... I'm an amateur recording artist... I rap, beat-box, make beats, and sing a little bit! I also play the piano...... Current and future goals/aspirations (overall, these goals are more-so of afterthoughts): Stay more organized Relax.... Also... - I want to get back into playing board-games and card games... in particular.... - Learn how to play chess - Relearn how to play dominoes and backgammon - Play Uno and checkers more often - I want to play ping pong (aka table tennis) again.... - Write my own books (although I pretty much am the author of my life) - I want to get back to drawing more often, and perhaps learn how to paint.... - Visit Jay Leno's massive car collection..... - I might acquire an RC (Radio-Controlled) car... the ones that go like 100+ miles per hour... I've wanted one of those since I was much younger.... - I've always been very musically inclined... my primary instrument is the piano. I used to play the trumpet. I want to learn how to play the drums, sometime.... - I want to visit Disneyland again.. also.. I want to visit Disney World.... - I haven't been swimming in quite a while.... - I want to start cooking more often...... - Challenge Ray Allen in a three-point shooting challenge.... - I want to learn how to snowboard. ----------------------------------------------- .... some intriguing random/miscellaneous quotes: "We are more alike than unalike." - Maya Angelou "How people treat you is their karma. How you react is yours." - Wayne Dyer "You attract what you are, not what you want." - Anonymous "You are a part of the energy that created the planets and the earth. You are awesome." - Anonymous "Love, it will not betray you, dismay or enslave you, it will set you free." - Anonymous "A Woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ that a Man should have to seek Him first in order to find Her." - Anonymous "Haters hate the things they can't have, and the people they can't be." - Anonymous "Haters are a waste of time. Always be yourself, because the people who mind don't matter, and the people who matter don't mind. Or... "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." - Theodor Seuss Geisel aka Dr. Seuss "You Matter! You're special! Never ever let anyone tell you anything different, and if they do, never ever believe it." - Anonymous "Get down on your knees and tell me you love me." ~ A little sarcasm, from the movie Home Alone 2: Lost in New York "Congress shall make no law, respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government... for a redress of grievances." -- The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, 1791 "Jubilee: Why do you hate us? What did we ever do to you? Graydon Creed: You were born!" ~ A little sarcasm, from the X-Men TV series "I'd take 100 real enemies over 1 fake friend any day. At least the enemies let you know where they stand and don't pretend to care. That makes them better by a long-shot!" - Unknown "The highest form of ignorance is when you reject something you don't know anything about." - Wayne Dyer "Knowledge is power. If ya don't know, then ya betta know! That goes a long way!" - Me "Courage is the most important of all the virtues, because without courage you can't practice any other virtue consistently. You can practice any virtue erratically, but nothing consistently without courage." - Maya Angelou "Words mean more than what is set down on paper. It takes the human voice to infuse them with deeper meaning." - Maya Angelou Live in the present and make it count, as it will prepare you for a successful future. or... "Jennifer: I brought this note back from the future and...now it's erased! Doc: Of course it's erased! Jennifer: But what does that mean? Doc: It means that your future hasn't been written yet. No one's has. Your future is whatever you make it. So make it a good one. Both of ya!" ~ From Back to the Future part 3 "You got heart, cuz'?" ~ From the movie Baby Boy "Craig Jones: We ain't even got no milk. Mrs. Jones: You put some water on that damn shit." ~ From the movie Friday.. Ice Cube must resort to an alternative..! "Do it." ~ Ben Stiller as Starsky in the movie Starsky & Hutch Cool. Calm. Fresh. Leaders are those who inspire others and take charge at the task at hand. Do what you love to do. Love the life that you live. “It isn't what you have, or who you are, or where you are, or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about it.” - Dale Carnegie Being open-minded and easy-going are very essential to life. Create a vision and follow your dreams. Be a role model. Life is easy, everyone just needs to chill. :-) "Got hops?" "Success comes from being real." - Anonymous "You don't have to prove your worth to anyone. They should already see it." - Anonymous "Be joyful. Be grateful. Be in love. Be bold. Be saucy. Be kind. Be WELL! " - Anonymous "When two people are meant for each other, no time is too long, no distance is too far, and no one can ever tear them apart." - Anonymous "Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great." - Mark Twain "Don't let anyone take advantage of you. Just be yourself, that's who God made you to be. - Anonymous "The loudest one in the room is the weakest one in the room." - Anonymous... I'm usually relatively quiet... Life is free." - Anonymous "...Once you have dealt with what was getting in your way, you will have the energy, commitment, and passion, to go for your dreams..." - Anonymous "Love is when you can be your true self with someone, and you only want to be your true self because of them." ~Terri Guillemets "Being loved is lovely." - Anonymous "Remember ladies, a REAL man will never put you down, nor physically abuse you. Love does not judge, and accepts you as you are." - Anonymous "There is nothing more divine, than a clear mind." - Anonymous "Love is like playing the piano, first you must learn to play by the rules, then you must forget the rules and play from your heart." - Anonymous "What we choose in life, defines us. Who we love, transforms us. How we think, reshapes us. What we do, remakes us." - Anonymous "There is only one happiness in life, to love and to be loved." - Anonymous "Honestly, I don't have time to hate people who hate me, because I'm too busy loving people who love me." -Anonymous --------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------- I'm cross-dominant... Cross-dominance, also known as mixed-handedness, mixed dominance, or hand-confusion, is a motor skill manifestation where a person favors one hand for some tasks and the other hand for others. For example (which applies to me, coincidentally), a cross-dominant person might write with the right hand but throw primarily with the left (Wikipedia). Attributes per sport... ---------------------------------------- TRACK & FIELD Throws with left hand Sprinter Primary running events (in this order): 200m, 100m, 400m Primary field events: Long jump, triple jump, high jump, javelin (I haven't tried it yet, but I'm sure I could do that..!) Fastest 40-yard dash time: 4.48 seconds ---------------------------------------- FOOTBALL Throws with left hand Position: Wide Receiver/ Cornerback/ Safety Advantages: route-running, [tackling] technique, Vertical Leap, Quickness, Adaptation, catching, blocking ---------------------------------------- BASKETBALL Shoots with left hand Position: Point Guard / Shooting Guard Advantages: 3-point shooting, shot-blocking, steals, free-throws, Vertical Leap, Quickness, Adaptation ---------------------------------------- BASEBALL Bats: Left Throws: Left Position: Center Fielder Advantages: Agility, [outfield] Coverage, stealing bases, hitting triples, Vertical Leap, Quickness, Adaptation ---------------------------------------- VOLLEYBALL Hits with left hand Primary Position: Outside Hitter Advantages: Vertical Leap, Great Spiking ability, agility, Great serve ---------------------------------------- TENNIS Swings with right hand Advantages: Agility, Quickness, Vertical Leap, Great backhand ----------------------------------------- GOLF I'm relatively new to golf, and I'm a lefty. Similarly, I'm excellent at playing putt golf. ========================================= Random/Additional info about me: ----------------------------------------- This has nothing to do with anyone or anything, but this is basically a compilation of my way of thinking, as well as additional information about who I am and what I'm about: "I'm only human." - Anonymous. Friendliness is a learned behavioral trait, just as love is.... .... abuse is not love, and domestic violence is a crime. “It isn't what you have, or who you are, or where you are, or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about.” - Dale Carnegie "Words mean more than what is set down on paper. It takes the human voice to infuse them with deeper meaning." - Maya Angelou "You were born an original, don't die a copy." - Anonymous .. if anyone can't tell already, I'm naturally, extremely personable... I love people, in general..... "Life is too short. Grudges are a waste of perfect happiness. Laugh when you can. Apologize when you should and let go of what you can't change. Love deeply and forgive quickly... take chances... give everything and have no regrets. Life is too short to be unhappy. You have to take the good with the bad. Smile when your sad and love what you've got. Always remember what you had. Always forgive but never forget. Learn from your mistakes, but never regret. People change, and things go wrong but always remember... life goes on!" - Unknown "FUCK the haters. the assholes. the people out to get you. the whiners. the people that cheat on you. the people who pretend to be your friend. the friends that talk behind your back. those who are purposely rude. those who purposely lie. the hypocritical. the greedy. the deceiving. the people who don't appreciate you." - Unknown I guess, in a nutshell, I fulfill the needs of others, in various ways... "The greatest gift we give to each other is the telling of the truth." - Maya Angelou "God doesn't give you the people you want... He gives you the people you need... To help you.. to hurt you.. to leave you.. to love you... and to make you the person you were meant to be." - Unknown .... it is ever-so important for each of every individual to always cherish and love thyself, more than anything else.... :] "To love is to risk not being loved in return. To hope is to risk pain. To try is to risk failure, but risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing." - Unknown "The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education."- Martin Luther King, Jr. "Be wise and responsible, for everything that you do, and remain humble." ...Generic, but useful advice.. from me, directed towards me, and anyone else in this world... "Everybody won't understand everything, because everything isn't for everybody!" - Anonymous "All your dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursue them." - Walt Disney I have lots of adrenaline, and I can do flips.. and cartwheels.. and whatnot... "A family that prays together stays together." - My mom "Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it." - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. "A leader leads, whether he intends to or not." - Anonymous Don't follow in the footsteps of others, instead make your own path. Create your own story. I love education, in general, but I don't like going to school (taking exams etc.)..... Keep your language clean and respectable. Say positive things about others whenever possible, but be sincere - people can recognize the difference between true interest and forced flattery. Don't pretend to be someone you're not. People might think you're insecure and fake. Therefore you won't be respected. “The stupid neither forgive nor forget; the naive forgive and forget; the wise forgive but do not forget.” - Thomas S. Szasz "Never regret anything, because at one time... it was exactly what you wanted." - Unknown ... It really is a small world....! I eat a lot, but it is difficult for me to gain weight, highly likely because of my extremely high/fast metabolism rate.... I'm semi-fluent in Spanish (two years from high school... also from a Spanish/French class from junior high....) .. I still feel like a kid... which is a good thing... in a way... I feel like a kid, but I'm a legit, grown man.... :] Three words I despise: Self-seeking, Self-centered, and Selfish I can't stand: narrow-mindedness closed-mindedness insecurity immaturity rudeness shallowness ignorance drama pretentiousness stupidity what else..? I also can't stand egocentrism: Some people have the tendency to perceive, understand and interpret the world in terms of the self. The term derives from the Greek egô, meaning "I". An egocentric person has no theory of mind, cannot "put himself/herself in other people's shoes," and believes everyone sees what he/she sees (or that what he/she sees in some way exceeds what others see.) They are unable to separate their own beliefs, thoughts and ideas from others. - Wikipedia I can't stand liars and hypocrites as well... good and honest people suffer too much. - Anonymous I'm generally, naturally nice and sincere... I consider myself a Christian. ... I'm not what I want to be, but rather what I need to be.. what God wants me to be.... ... "People need to stop doing what they think they should do, & do what they actually want to do." - Anonymous I prefer to use 'haha' in replace of 'lol' when I type. I dunno.. I suppose I'm sort of politically correct sometimes.. blah. Speaking of typing.. I believe the fastest typing speed I've done was like 130 WPM (Words Per Minute), in one of my computer classes during high school. Being chill is the ultimate test of having serenity. Being mentally strong is the ultimate test of being a confident, positive person. Seek your own interests and ambitions. Favorite retail brand: Ecko Favorite video-game(s) of all time: Perfect Dark, and Golden Eye 007 (based on the Nintendo 64 game console) I'm relatively frugal.... I think we have the best public library system (King County Library System) and public bus system (Metro) in the country.. which is definitely a good thing.. I take full advantage of that... :) Ahhhh. I love taking warm/hot showers. I just love laying in bed to stay relaxed. I'm sarcastic at times. I love inspiring people and cheering people up. I'm really easy to get along with. My daily moods are usually relaxed, chill, happy, energetic, and peaceful.. I'm chill most of the time. I have lots of energy and enthusiasm, and I have excellent motivational abilities... I could be emotional/keen/sensitive, at times.... Materialist: a person who is markedly more concerned with material things than with spiritual, intellectual, or cultural values.. I'm able to balance everything out. I recently started cutting my own hair, as opposed to getting a haircut at a barbershop. I believe there is a possibility of undiscovered planets in space. Who knows! I'm good at voice impersonations. I'm a big time movie buff... I love the sunshine. I'm extremely knowledgeable, of just about anything.... I could be spontaneous and random at times.. it's a compulsive habit.... I love fruit! Fruit itself. Smoothies. All that stuff. My favorite number is 24. My favorite color is blue (pretty much any shade of blue). I'm very tech-savvy, and I prefer PCs over Macs. I'm great at playing billiards (aka pool). I love playing Tien Len (aka the card game Thirteen). I'm prolly the most creative, innovative person you'll ever know. Speaking of creativity, I used to draw and color a lot in my spare time, when I was much younger. I still have a couple binders filled with the drawings that I've done. As of lately, I've been in the process of learning how to draw more realistic things, as opposed to cartoon-like things. Also, I used to play with things, such as Legos, and other toys such as that. I could imitate pretty much any batting stance from any baseball player you could think of... I love myself.. I love all others... I love being myself. I'm prolly the most realest person you'll ever meet and know... I'm always myself. Always stay true to thyself. I don't drink alcohol that often. I don't have any tattoos nor piercings... I don't want any neither.... it's just not my thang...... I want to emphasize that you don't necessarily have to be in a relationship to enjoy your life. Having fun is not directly related to being in a relationship. ... my favorite movie of all time is The Sound of Music. Do Rae Me Fa So La Te Do! Julie Andrews played an excellent role! =) ... "I Love Lucy" is prolly my favorite classic TV show of all time... Lucille Ball was/is very humorous.... ------------------------------------ Some of the things I value most is love, respect, loyalty, kindness, and knowledge. * I found this online quite a while ago. Depending on where people are coming from, this may seem abstract. This is just a general guideline of what respect is: Respect.. earn it, learn it, show it..... Respect is... We are not asked how we feel Others believe they know what is best for us Others believe they know us better than we know ourselves Our way of doing things is not accepted Our privacy is invaded or denied We feel betrayed We feel controlled ------------------------ "If you don't know me, don't judge me. Nobody said you had to like me." - Unknown or... "Those who think ill of me or get mad at me for whatever, do what you want. I am what I am. Take that for what it is. Get to know me or actually listen, and then you'll know who and what I am." - Anonymous Persona Non Grata.. i.e. I'm Nonexistent... Being a teacher is one of the greatest jobs ever, be it as a career or in general. We all are teachers, in some way. Peace. Love. Happiness. God Bless Lance ...Karma is karma.... what goes around comes around. "A good life is when you smile often, dream big, laugh a lot and realize how blessed you are for what you have." - Anonymous Autographs I've received: ----------------------------- Tyra Banks (God Bless her!)
