Air Force, 20+ Years
Senior NCM with 36 years of operational and administrative service in the RCAF as an Aerospace Controller. Served 5 plus years overseas with NATO in Bosina and Kosovo operations; 12 years with Canadian NORAD Region as Weapons Director Tech and Senior Director Tech; instructor at CMR Campus Fort Saint Jean and Air Weapons Control and Countermeasure School. Presently the 12 Wing Lessons Learned Officer located at 12 Wing Shearwater, NS

Janice (nee McKinnon) Cobean
Class of 1981
Navy, 20+ Years
Janice enrolled as a Finance Clerk (Fin Clk) with HMCS Brunswicker in June 1981 Summer Student Employment Program.
She worked as a Fin Clk at HMCS Brunswicker, CFB Gagetown, CFS Mill Cove, CFB Halifax.
She sailed briefly on HMCS Assiniboine, HMCS Porte St Jean ,HMCS Porte St. Louis, and HMCS Porte Quebec.
She transferred to Regular Force in July 1985, and was posted to CFB Greenwood, followed by postings to CFB Esquimalt, NOTC Naden, HMCS Malahat and HMCS Scotian.
She transferred to the Supplementary Reserves in 1998 and remained until retirement in April 2009, after completing total of 29 years of service in the Canadian Forces.
She received the Canadian Decoration medal in Jun 1993, upon completion of 12 years of service in the military.
Janice now lives in Lower Sackville, NS with her husband and two daughters.
