About acob Alexander Pierce ("Alex") passed away unexpectedly on August 23, 2022.

Alex was kind, courteous, and respectful to all he met. He was a passionate, active, quirky, fun young man who will be dearly missed by family and friends.

His adventures in life began on April 15, 2004, in Seattle, Washington. He was baptized at the Chapel of the Centurion, Fort Monroe, Virginia, on May 15, 2011.

Alex loved gaming with friends around the world. He enjoyed capturing and editing his online gaming sessions and posting them to his YouTube channel. He also loved watching anime, solving puzzle cubes, and being with his cat Emerson. Alex enjoyed traveling with his family and friends to faraway places such as Alaska, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, New York City, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Disneyland, Disney World, and his favorite city, Vancouver, B.C.

He appreciated his first job working at the Willow Oaks Dairy Queen and bringing home occasional treats to his family.

He was a member of the Spratley Middle School Concert Band and the Kecoughtan High School Concert and Marching Bands, playing the trombone.

Alex graduated with highest honors from Kecoughtan High School, Class of 2022. He was planning to attend Old Dominion University in the Fall to pursue a B.S. in Business Administration in Information Technology -- E-Business and E-Commerce at the Strome College of Business. He was awarded the ODU Presidential Scholarship.

He is survived by his mother, Janice; father, Kenneth; grandmother, Joyce Pierce; aunt and uncles, Tina Pierce, Timothy Pierce, Carl Pierce, and numerous cousins.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022, from noon to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Queen Street Worship Center. Interment will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens.

His cause of death is unknown at this time.
