| About Me | Wow, I've been fortunate to experience so many things, and it continues today! Being a UAW member has allowed me many opportunities to grow, learn, and participate. As a UAW-GM member I transferred from AC Spark Plug in Flint to a GM Parts Distribution Center in Pontiac, and then spent 20 yrs in Martinsburg, WV (Hi Joyce Francis [Benzing!]). In 2011 I was appointed to the UAW-GM Center for Human Resources in Detroit as UAW Special Assign before my appointment to UAW International Staff in 2013. Through my UAW Local and Region (8) I have had the opportunity to participate in communications, organizing, education, training, various elected and appointed positions within my local, internal membership building, working to elect politicians who are supposed to work for us(!), and elected and appointed positions within the AFL-CIO on a local, state, and national level.
