I joined the US Navy 7 days after graduation in 1959. My first tour was at a Naval Communications Station in the Panama Canal Zone. I had 2 tours in Vietnam (Naval Support Activity Detachment Cam Ranh Bay, and ISB Ben Luc, RVN. I served aboard 2 Destroyers (USS Jonas Ingram DD-938 & USS MacDonough DDG-39 & had 4 tours at Naval Air Stations in Texas (2 at NAS Corpus Christi & 2 at NAS Dallas). Retired as a Chief Petty Officer (Electronics Technician).

Joined in June 1957 retired in July 1977. Spent most of my career in R&D testing and launching rockets at Vandenburg AFB. A year and a half all over the Far East and a three year tour in Germany.
