According to the U.S. Navy Personnel Command, the duties of a YN include clerical tasks such as typing, organization of files and the use of office equipment. A yeoman must also carry out administrative tasks that include sorting incoming mail, answering telephones and formally greeting visitors.

MOS (job)-92G:Food Service Specialist;enlisted as a private (E1) in May 2005; attended basic training @ Ft.Jackson, SC & AIT @ Ft.Lee, VA, where i got promoted to a Pvt2 (E2); stationed-Schofield Barracks,Hawaii for 10mths where i gave birth to my son JT which led to my discharge in August 2006 where i returned to SC; member of national guard (mp unit in florence) for 6mths; ended brief military career as a PFC (E3)
