Yearbook Club 2011-2012

The Yearbook Club needs your help!

It has been years since John Marshall High School has had a true yearbook. In the past couple of years there have been memory books and DVD's for seniors only. Last year there was only enough money in the budget to complete a yearbook for the seniors. This yearbook was such a hit that it has been requested by many freshman, sophomores, and juniors. After fundraising over $7,000 last year, the yearbook club has about $2,500 that has continued over into this year’s budget; however, this only covers a portion of the yearbook. This year we are completing a yearbook for all of the students in the school.

Last year we fundraised for the sitting fee for Palmer Photography to come in and give each student a nice Senior Portrait. They even let us set the price on each unit and fundraise off the portraits we sold to help cover that cost. The students loved their pictures and Palmer Photography is willing help us out again this year.

Because of the expense to create a yearbook for the school and to cover these fees for students we need to do more fundraising. We are looking for any ideas you may have or ways to help us raise this year’s budget for the yearbook. Our goal is to bring in $9,000 this way we have money to roll over into next year as well.
