Randolph (Randy) Mark Mitchell, 67, of New Castle, Kentucky, passed from this life on Sept. 5, 2023 after a short illness. He was born June 20, 1956 in Hiroshima, Japan to the late Edgar F. and Kay Chizue (Morikawa) Mitchell. After graduating from Stuart High School in 1974, Randy proudly served his country for over 26 years in the United States Coast Guard where he received numerous awards and achievements. In continuance of his desire to help and serve others, Randy found a second career teaching technology at Henry County High School.
Left to cherish his memory are: sons, Jason (Sunny) Mitchell and Ryan Mitchell; grandchildren, Brighton Mitchell and Ava Mitchell; sister, Deb (Dave) Richeson; brothers, Robert Mitchell, Tim (Marci) Mitchell, and James Mitchell. He also leaves behind a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
