About	Holb, John Brendan "JB" Was born to Fred and Brenda (Reagan) Holb on August 10, 1965, in Detroit, Michigan. He was the last child to enter his family, having one older sister and one older brother. His love for water began very early in life, and he practically lived at the pool as a child. He attended school and graduated from Bloomington Jefferson High School in 1983. During his time there, he enjoyed playing baseball, tennis, and was also a diver. He then furthered his education at UMD and received his degree in Marketing in 1987. JB married Catherine Marble on October 23, 1992 at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Bloomington. Together, they continued to foster JB's love for water as they vacationed anywhere that they had access to a beach or a pool. Most recently, the couple lived in Cape Coral, Florida for nine months of the year, and returned to Spring Lake on Lake Minnetonka during the summer. JB was blessed to raise two wonderful children, Brendan and AJ, with Cathee. He deeply cared for his sons and enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, jet skiing, playing catch, cheering for their favorite sports teams and (as they got older) enjoying all those things with a nice cold beer. JB's passion and larger-than-life personality could always be felt in any room he was in, whether he was sharing his love for the Minnesota Vikings and Tampa Bay Buccaneers or telling an elaborate story. Especially when he was reminding Cathee that "this will be our year" for the Vikings every year. His entrepreneurial drive led him to a very successful career as the President of Sea-Legs for over 20 years. On Sunday, June 30, 2024, JB died unexpectedly at the age of 58 surrounded by the love of his family. JB's final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. JB was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Holb and Brenda Reagan Holb, father-in-law Lawrence Marble, mother-in law Mary Esther Clark Marble, mother-in-law Mary Larson Marble, sister-in-law Anne Marble Kennedy and brother-in-law Randy Willmert. Keeping JB's spirit forever alive in their hearts are his wife, Cathee; two children, Brendan (Jahkia Davis) Holb of Cape Coral, Florida, and AJ (Natalie Fredrickson) Holb of Spring Park, Minnesota; siblings, Andy (Laura) Holb of Eden Prairie, and Kathy Holb of Eden Prairie, and numerous "Larble" brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, many nephews and nieces, other family, and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. at the Huber Funeral Home in Mound, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wed July 10th at 11:00am with a visitation one hour prior to the service at Our Lady of the Lake, Mound, MN.
