| About Me | I have become an author of my first book of poetry, " A Poet's Treasury in West Virginia currently working on my second edition" Mountains of Treasure" . I am into community programs and a supporter of cultural Arts, forming an Arts Alliance for Berkely County. I work for Summits Point Race way as operational Manager for over fifteen years and retired whenI came down with cancer. I am a surviver and read inspirational poetry to other survivers. I read for the Relay for life and a percent of all of my books sold I donated to the Relay. I am currently in the Angel Book Club of Oprah Winfrey and hope to appear on her show. I have traveled to New York and other cities with my book signings. I currently give lectures to schools to the children in helping them undersatand about how to get published and write their first book. I also give them inspiration to go on in their education even if it is hard. I still have brothers and sisters who live in Winchester and I try often to see them. The winchester Star did an article about me on Nov.11, 2005. Telling about some of my life growing up in Cedar Grove. I am free to lecture if requested and travel the Eastern Panhandle and VA. I went to the old Fredrick County Jr. High and James Wood on Amherst Ave. I also have a website of the Athens on the Opequon Poetry Club we have formed to encourage writing and poetry of rhyming and metered poetry.the site is: www.athens-poetry-club.org Poems from our member can be read and commented on. I am working on forming an Arts Alliance called the BCAA[ Berkeley County Arts Alliance] to give all artist a place to come together and turn our town of Martinsburg into a place as Winchester did .
