About Kevin M. Theobald, age 45, passed away on April 16, 2010, at UW Hospital.

He was born on Dec. 15, 1964, in Madison, to Darrell and Judy Theobald and lived all of his life in Madison, where he graduated in 1983, from Memorial High School. Although Kevin was born with a disease that caused him to endure many physical challenges, he fought his disease with courage and determination. In 2007, he was given a second chance in life after receiving a liver and kidney transplant at Northwestern Hospital.

As a child and young adult Kevin was an excellent bowler scoring both 300 games and 800 series, and also enjoyed playing fast-pitch softball and golf. One of his favorite pastimes was spending time with his nephews; playing ball, shooting baskets and fishing. He loved the outdoors especially being "Up North" fishing on Musser Lake and hunting on the land where he built his garage. Kevin was a self-taught musician playing guitar, drums, piano, and singing with friends and family in jam sessions in basements, at campfires and in bowling alleys.

Kevin is survived by and will be dearly missed by his parents, Darrell and Judy Theobald; sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Arlyn Steffenson; nephews, Noah and Cole; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

The family would like to thank all of the people who visited and supported Kevin during his illness. Special thanks also to the UW Hospital doctors and nurses, especially Dr. G's clinic and the transplant team at Northwestern Hospital.
