About MADISON -- Brad Draeger, age 31, of Madison, Wisconsin, died suddenly on Sunday, February 19, 1995, at St. Mary's Hospital after a lifelong battle with a rare disease. He was born on September 7, 1963, in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, the son of Jacqueline Draeger and Dewey (Bonnie) Draeger. He was a graduate of Big Foot High School and James Madison Memorial. Brad's wit, charm, sense of humor and acceptance of life were an example for all that knew him. He enjoyed music, sports and people, but his greatest pleasure was going to work, most recently at Walmart on Madison's Westside.

Brad is survived by his mother, Jacqueline Draeger of Blair, Wisconsin; his father, Dewey (Bonnie Ace-Draeger) of Madison, Wisconsin; his two sisters, JoLynn (Mike) Jeannot of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Cathryn (Steve) Jordan of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin; his brother, Dan (Jenny) of Kenosha, Wisconsin; his grandmother, Opal Johnson of Blair, Wisconsin; his stepbrother and sisters Mike (Debbie) Ace of Beloit, Wisconsin; Nancy (Jim) Graham of Madison, Wisconsin; and Susan Ace of Madison, Wisconsin; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends and advocates, Dr. Paul Dvorak and all those associated with RFDF. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Raymond Johnson, and his grandparents, Henry and Mae Draeger.

Funeral services will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5701 Raymond Road, Madison, Wisconsin at 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 22, 1995. The Reverend David Swenson will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Blair, Wisconsin, on Wednesday, February 22, 1995, at 3:00 pm. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 22, 1995, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5701 Raymond Road, Madison, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to RFDF-Community Living Programs, 2875 Fish Hatchery Road, Madison, Wisconsin, 53713-3194, or to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Special thanks to Bill Houssier, Ronda and Jim Evenson, and espcially to Dr. Paul Dvorak, for the loving care of Brad in his final days.
