About	Quality person and a core of the Marching Band's Trumpet Section! A 1966 graduate of Lansing Sexton High School, Tom continued his education at Michigan State University where he earned a B.S. degree in mathematics and M.S. degrees in mathematics and mechanical engineering. Later he was awarded a Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics from Michigan State University. During his university years, Tom taught mathematics at Michigan State University and Lansing Community College.
