Air Force, 10 Years

I was a Special Agent for the Air Force Office of Special Investigations for the last 7 years I was in the military. One of my favorite assignments was in 2003 - I was working at the US Embassy in Qatar when the war began. Part of my job was coordinating visits by high ranking government and military officials from a security standpoint...so working on Pres. Bush's visit (and meeting him) was one of the most amazing experiences!

Joined the Army in February 1968 and volunteered for Vietnam. I was a school trained UH-1, Huey helicopter mechanic, but volunteered for duty on tanks with the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment. I saw combat with them and speak highly of the American men and women who fought the good fight while the Country submitted to a lesser angel of their Nature. I went back into Army Aviation and completed a second tour in Vietnam as a helicopter door gunner/crew chief. I made the Army a career and went to helicopter Flight School in 1980. I flew the Huey and UH-60 Blackhawk with the Army's Special Operations before retiring in 1988.
