Vietnam veteran. Served in-country 1965~1971 (except 1969.went to Germany). Started in 1st Inf Div, then 1st Av Bde, Americal Div, finally again with 1st Av. Stayed to keep kid brothers from facing the stupid. When I went to Germany, both Larry and Joe went. Both were severely wounded.

Awarded the Iowa National Guard Commendation Medal for meritorius achievement, Army Service Ribbon, and Professional Leadership Ribbon.
