| About | Berkley Chapel on Feb. 18, 2026. On December 24, 2025, Christina Camille Jilton was called to serve a higher purpose. She completed her earthly mission with honor, grace, and unwavering devotion to God, her family, and all those entrusted to her care. Christina was born on May 14, 1981, at DePaul Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. She received her early education at St. Marys Academy and Christ the King School, later attending Greenbrier Christian Academy and Indian River High School, where she found joy and belonging in the band as a clarinetist. Music was one of her earliest and lifelong passions. Following high school, Christina attended Virginia State University, majoring in music education, before transferring to and graduating from Old Dominion University. She went on to serve as a music teacher for several years, touching countless young lives through her patience, creativity, and love for learning. She later earned a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Averett University, reflecting her deep commitment to education and leadership. Christina also answered a call to serve her country. She joined the Virginia Air National Guard and eventually transitioned to full-time military service. She proudly served with the 203rd RED HORSE and the 192d Wing, where she worked as a Personnel Superintendent. Christina believed that mission success began with people, and she lived that belief dailystaying late, answering every call, and ensuring her Airmen felt supported and valued. Her final rank was Senior Master Sergeant, a testament to her dedication, integrity, and exceptional leadership. Above all else, Christina was a woman of love and quiet faith. She was a teacher, a musician, a mentor, a listener, and a leader whose strength was matched only by her compassion. She carried peace wherever she wenther presence softened hearts, her smile was contagious, and her voice was truly angelic. She never sought recognition, serving instead with humility and deep sincerity. Christina shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Sherman Jilton, whom she married after a friendship that grew into a bond of unwavering love and partnership. Together they built a life rooted in faith, joy, simplicity, and devotiona life she affectionately described as ballin on a budget, finding beauty and abundance in intention and love. Christina was blessed with a large and loving family. She is survived by her husband, Sherman Jilton; her mother, Linda Tole; her father, Robert Bob St. Pierre; her stepfather, David Tole; her stepmother, June; her sisters, Sabrina St. Pierre and Zaire Tole; and her brothers, Adam Birch, David Birch, Isaiah Tole, Thurgood Tole, Joshua Tole, Evan St. Pierre, and Trevor St. Pierre, along with many extended family members and dear friends. If Christina called you a friend, she meant it. She held trust as sacred and loved deeply and without condition. Though Christina has rendered her final salute on this earth, her legacy lives onin the lives she mentored, the hearts she healed, the family she cherished, and the faith she embodied. Her service continues, now in a greater capacity, one we cannot yet see but will forever feel. Viewing: Tuesday, January 13, 2026 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Metropolitan Funeral Service 120 W.
