About	Jerry Wayne Fincham, 71, passed peacefully away September 18, 2022 at his home. Born November 14, 1950 in Norfolk, Va., Jerry owned his own business and had the pleasure of working with many of the premiere homebuilders in the Tidewater area. He was a graduate of Indian River High School class of 1969. Jerry never knew a stranger and was outgoing, personable, and caring. His family and friends knew him as a generous and kind-hearted man who would go out of his way to help anyone in need. There were many who looked up to Jerry as a father figure and he enjoyed being able to positively impact so many lives. Jerry is survived by his nieces Jennifer Fincham-Keller, Emily Sykes (Omar), and nephews Jason Fincham (Monica), Brad Abare (Matthew), Shawn Fincham, Bryan Carwile, and countless relatives and friends. Jerry was an avid animal lover and in lieu of flowers the family is requesting that memorial donations be made to the Humane Society in his name. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, September 27th, from 6p.m. until 8p.m. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 28th at 1p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Kempsville Chapel. A graveside service will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk Va.
