Vera was a 1977 graduate of Indian River High School in Chesapeake, VA. She then went to work at Old Dominion University, Norfolk VA for 25 years until her retirement. She loved her job very much as well as her coworkers whom she considered her extended family. There was nothing you could not ask of her that she was not willing to do.
Vera's personality and character made everyone smile. She had a giving spirit and was a kind-hearted person who loved taking her children and grandson to church, cooking, watching her tv soap operas, and enjoying family and her adorable cat. She made it known to everyone that her children and grandson were her heartbeat.
