About	Simon Tejada Norfolk - Simon "TJ" Tejada, 57, passed away November 1, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife Kimberly Tejada; two daughters, Melissa Tejada, Laura Carlin and husband Mike; six grandchildren, Kaila Tejada, Michael Carlin, Jr., Kaeyon Moore, Haleigh Carlin, Jayden Moore and Victoria Carlin; a sister-in-law, Karla Kalber and mother-in-law, Sandra O'Leary, both of Largo, FL; a brother-in-law Albert G. Kalber of Pensacola, FL; an ex-wife Vicki W. Tejada; and two cats, Noodles and Sammy, numerous nieces and nephews, five half-brothers, Julien, Johnny, Phillip, Mark and Joseph Baker. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Julien Tejada and a half-brother, William Baker. A graduate of Indian River High School, class of 1973, Simon went on to work as a civilian for Norfolk Naval Base, where he was a supervisor for the public works department. He was the lead singer and drummer for the Swindell Party Band, and was an avid football and Washington Redskins fan. He loved the ocean and to travel. Simon always saw the best in everyone he met, and often found qualities in people that they did not see in themselves. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends, and he was well loved. A memorial service will take place Friday, November 4, 2011, at 6 PM, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
