Donald E. Orman, 52, of Chillicothe passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria surrounded by his family.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Edward Catholic Church in Chillicothe. Fr. Keith Walder will officiate. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-7:00 PM at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Burial will be held on the Chillicothe City Cemetery with military rites.
Don, one of five children of Harry J. and Sylvia V. (Ryan) Orman, was born on November 20, 1961 in Peoria. He married Susan J. Baldwin on November 1, 1986 at Lacon Congregational Church in Lacon.
After graduating from high school Don served in the U.S. Army form 1981 to 1984. He then worked for Builders Square and then Crescent Electric. Susan and Don then started there own painting business called D and S Services.
Don loved the Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Cubs and especially the Bradley Braves where he attended many of the games. He also enjoyed the family gatherings.
He is survived by his wife, Alex his dog and Squirt the cat, two sisters, Brenda (Chuck) Hedges of Davenport, FL and Lucy (Mike) Pierson of St. Paul, MO, two brothers, Ron (Kim) Orman of Chillicothe and Kevin (Debbie) Orman of Peoria, three sister-in-laws, Joanne (Leonard) Catton, Kathy (Ben) Biba and Lisa (Jeff) Schmitt all of Lacon, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Nicholas.
